Freddie Mac is currently recruiting for a Risk and Data Analytics Senior role to join the Credit Analytics and Reporting team within the Single-Family division. The Risk Analytics Senior role is responsible for building data repository to facilitate modeling analysis of risk evaluation.
Your work falls into two primary categories:
Data Engineering:
*Cleanse, manipulate and analyze large datasets (Structured and Unstructured data - XMLs, JSONs, PDFs) using Headoop platform.
*Cleanse, manipulate and analyze datasets from MongoDB using Python
*Cleanse, manipulate and analyze datasets from various SAS datasets using SAS
*Develop SAS, Python, Spark, HIVE scripts to filter/map/aggregate data.
*Manage and implement data processes (Data Quality reports)
*Design and implement processes and analytical tools to proactively identify, quantify and monitor risks.
*Acquire deep understanding of upstream models, model uses, and model outputs.
Analysis and Modeling:
*Perform R&D and exploratory analysis using statistical techniques and machine learning clustering methods to understand data.
*Develop data profiling, deduping logic, matching logic for analysis.
*Programming using SAS for data ingestion, analytics and developing reports.
*Big Data languages such as Python, Spark for analytics and developing reports.

*Degree in quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance or Information Systems.
*Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in an area related to data ingestion, processing engineering, focusing on data analytics.
*Ability to apply an analytical mindset to understand problems and propose actionable solutions supporting strategic business decisions.
*Strong programming skills in a statistical programming language such as SAS, Python, Spark and database skills such as SQL.
*Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
