Senior Associate , Acquisitions and Asset Management

Freshwater Investments is a Silicon Valley-based investment firm specializing in acquisitions, value added  management, capital improvement renovations of multifamily housing with presence in Washington, Oregon, Colorado and Kansas.

The Senior Analyst will work directly with company founders to contribute across all aspects of the acquisition and asset management processes. The Senior Analyst will help analyze and acquire real estate investments on behalf of the company and play an integral role in the post-acquisition business plan execution. This individual must have a strong asset management background and be comfortable working closely with third party management and onsite staff. Due to the company’s entrepreneurial nature and growth trajectory, the Senior Analyst can expect to assume a great deal of responsibility and gain significant exposure to all facets of the real estate investment cycle. Candidates should want to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment, and should possess a strong analytical background, excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, effective written and verbal communication skills, and superior time management and prioritization skills.

• Evaluating new deals, creating financial underwriting proformas, and performing preliminary market and financial due diligence to vet the feasibility of new deals
• Putting together investment and due diligence memoranda, including underwriting and market research
• Project management for owned assets to execute and manage the business plans
• Managing third party property managers
• Putting together quarterly reports for Freshwater's Investors
• Review and approve annual operating budgets
• Review and analyze monthly operating statements
• Conduct regular property inspections and stay abreast of current market conditions
• Participate in property due diligence for acquisitions
• Participate in hold/sell analysis and make recommendations
• Participate in asset refinancing and dispositions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required in finance, accounting, economics; emphasis in real estate preferred

• Must be resourceful, possess excellent organizational skills and strong written and oral communication skills

• High degree of initiative and self-motivation; strong problem solving skills

• Minimum 5 years experience in real estate investment

• Must have hands on asset management experience

• Construction management experience overseeing capital improvement projects is a plus

• Travel to properties across the nation will be required
