AR Global is a global asset manager with an emphasis on real estate investing with
approximately $12 billion of assets under management is seeking a Financial Reporting
Manager to join our Park Avenue, New York office.  

 

Position and Responsibilities

 

As part of AR Global Investments’ finance team, this individual will be a key participant in the SEC reporting
group and will help ensure that all SEC filings are in compliance with U.S. GAAP, as well as SEC rules and
regulations. The SEC reporting group works closely with various personnel and departments and is
responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate filings of all periodic SEC reports (i.e. 10-K, 10-Q and 8-
K), as well as other external reports and releases. 

 

Job Description
This individual will report to the Director of SEC Reporting and have the following responsibilities: 

 

Prepares/reviews various sections of quarterly and annual SEC filings (i.e. financial statements,
footnotes, MD&A etc.).
Develops/maintains a consistent and formal cross-reference (tie-out) process to accurately
support all amounts included in SEC filings. 
Maintains a calendar of quarterly deliverables to keep all filings on schedule.
Ensures SOX compliance regarding internal controls over financial reporting.
Assists in preparation of board materials, press releases and other items as necessary.
Coordinates, reviews and collects comments on various document drafts.
Participates in process improvement projects.
Works closely with external auditors as related to financial reporting matters.
Completes all relevant U.S. GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists.
Challenges the appropriateness of disclosures.
Monitors the development and applicability of emerging accounting and reporting rules as related
to the potential impact on the company’s financial statements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
5-7 years of progressive accounting experience.
Mix of public accounting (Big 4) and private industry experience.
2+ years of SEC reporting experience.
CPA designation.
Advanced Excel skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-growing environment and meet strict deadlines.
