Local Capital Group is a diversified Real Estate Development, Operating and Investment Company seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Asset Management Analyst to join our fast-growing commercial business. Local’s commercial portfolio includes 60 buildings, 100+ tenants, and over 4 million square feet in the San Francisco East Bay and Silicon Valley. The firm also currently has 120+ units of residential/mixed-use development projects in San Francisco and New York City.
JOB SUMMARY
The role of the Asset Management Analyst is to support all facets of the business, while becoming a well-rounded commercial real estate professional that shows a willingness to tackle tasks both big and small. Responsibilities will include financial analysis, accounting, operations, leasing, and potentially some involvement with future acquisitions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be a leader and motivator among key third-party relationships that are critical to driving returns and optimizing performance: leasing brokers, property management, consultants, etc.
- Perform quarterly valuations of each property through working with the Financial Analytics and Asset Management Associates
- Assist in establishing annual budgets and implement re-forecasting of budgets: projection of revenues, capital, leasing and opex as well as any amortization and fixed asset schedules
- Participation in the underwriting and performance forecasts of new Acquisitions
- Evaluate local real estate markets to identify trends and opportunities to enhance performance
- Provide support to the construction management team on organization, accounting, and scheduling
- Assist with marketing through broker events, road shows, and open houses
- Develop an understanding of loan and capital partner requirements, such as draw requests and loan disbursements

WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- 1-2 years of experience working in accounting or finance, with strong internship experience
- Experience should include working within a real estate firm or an accounting firm that directly services real estate firms
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance (related field acceptable with professional certification or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrated desire to pursue a career in commercial real estate
- Experience with Argus Enterprise is preferred
- Strong experience in Microsoft Excel and ability to create custom reports required for measuring key performance metrics by property
