Description
Responsible for supporting the Reserves Portfolio Department as a primary point of contact and coordinator of borrower for moderate to complex reserve draw requests. Processes more complex reserve draw requests, approves reserve draws reviewed by an offshore vendor (Genpact), maintains the Reserves database and interacts with borrowers, property management companies, lenders and servicers. May act as an approval for wire transfers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Reviews and audits work completed by Analysts. Assists in training, day-to-day work flow and routine questions related to Reserves Department.
Acts as a point of contact for department in absence of Department Manager. May have approval authority for wire transfers.
Processes moderate to complex reserve draws accurately and timely.
Responds to lender, borrower and GENPACT inquiries concerning reserve issues.
Maintains and keeps current reserve draw database and outsource tracker.
Participates in weekly review calls and ongoing training via phone and/or WebEx meetings with outsource group GENPACT.
Quality control of outsourced disbursement packages.
Cross-trains and serves as back up for Client Services Group.
Assists Portfolio Managers and Client Services with reserves issues.
Other duties as required.
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers.

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required with a minimum of 4 years related experience. Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred with 2 years related experience. Prior commercial mortgage loan servicing, or similar work experience preferred.

Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.
Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Knowledge of loan documents preferred.
Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
