The VP Asset Operations (Revenue Management and Marketing) is responsible for overall operational performance and financial goals of the Marketing and Revenue Management teams. This VP is responsible for leading and overseeing the team, strategies, process development and budgets of the LivCor Marketing and Revenue Management Teams. Working in partnership with members of Asset Management leadership team and other key LivCor Accounting & Financial Planning colleagues they expand communications, foster collaboration and build the organization infrastructure together. As a part of the LivCor leadership team, this VP will establish goals/objectives/practices for the Operators. This role also provides guidance on the various functions on day-to-day operations, new practices, improvements in systems/programs, and assessments on their performance and people. Ensures that team members working directly with Operators receive the coaching and leadership development needed to excel in their roles. Serves as a key point of contact for senior leaders of the Operating Management Teams. This VP will make strategic decisions on the best investment of their efforts for the optimization of results.

As the VP Asset Operations, one is held accountable to, however not limited to, the following job functions: 

  • Direct oversight of Revenue Management and Marketing teams
  • Seeks out new ways to generate value creation.
  • Assesses the various organizational effectiveness of each Operator (from accounting, capex, marketing, income strategy, etc.) and provide feedback for improvement
  • Focuses on establishing relationships with top Operators committed to improving operations and industry standards and practices  
  • Influences the mindset shifts that might be needed with Operators on change, improvements and new ideas
  • Expands leadership capabilities of direct reports and their teams
  • Supports and oversees the marketing team in generating a marketing strategy, plan and meaningful measures
  • Supports the development of the internal culture and external brand
  • Effectively and objectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders
  • Acts as a culture shaper – fosters a proactive culture that is nimble and agile
  • Forms partnerships with key leaders in Operator Management companies
  • Analyzes key metrics reporting and uses information as a basis to uncover and resolve business issues and opportunities
  • Provides guidance on the optimal strategy and focus to effectively manage of property’s occupancy and revenue goals
  • Works with FP&A team for financial review and budget preparatioN
  • Visits properties and management companies on an as-needed basis to build relationships and fully understand marketing environment
  • Improves on-property marketing including, but not limited to: sales collateral, signage and resident satisfaction surveys
  • Hosts regular discussions with management companies to monitor and enhance marketing and revenue managent strategies and plans
  • Develops proposals for cross functional collaboration, communications and continuous improvement
  • Divides time between the long view and urgent matters. Expects new issues on a weekly basis and responds with energy, collaboration and speed
  • Documents processes to create consistent and repeatable approach
  • Represents LivCor and Blackstone in a professional manner at all times. Acts in a respectful and humble manner with partners, co-workers and general public
  • Excels in a fast paced environment with constant change.  Adapts, performs and invites additional job responsibilities as LivCor develops

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred in , business, marketing or related field
  • 8-12 years of multifamily related experience is required
  • The right candidate will be an industry subject matter expert with significant leadership experience in the following:
  • Knowledge of and experience with developing and implementing revenue generation strategies
  • Knowledge of and experience with developing and implementing multifamily marketing strategies
  • Experience overseeing and managing vendor partner relationships
  • Expert on industry trends, technology and systems
