Reporting Relationship President, Investment Management

The firm has partnered with a Separately Managed Account requiring a dedicated Portfolio Manager to interface with the SMA, to oversee investor reporting for the relationship, and to provide strategic oversight of the firm’s existing portfolio of assets.
Key Responsibilities Reporting to the President – National Investment Management, the Portfolio Management position is a critical role as the interface between the separately managed account and the firm. This individual will be responsible for: • Overseeing a portfolio of ~65 multifamily assets currently owned by the Company in partnership with various institutional partners • Actively participating in the ongoing management of these assets including analyzing exit strategies and refinancing decisions • Assisting in the oversight of our separately managed account (“SMA”) • Assuming day-to-day responsibilities of the administration of the SMA • Interacting with our internal financial and asset management professionals to ensure timely dissemination of quarterly and annual reports with accuracy that is required by each individual account • Coordinating information flow from our development and acquisitions teams to the SMA’s consultants including due diligence, underwriting and financial analysis for prospective real estate investments • Monitoring proposed investments to assure they adhere to stated investment criteria and guidelines as determined in our operating agreements, and • Participating in the development of investment strategies and new products
Professional Experience/Qualifications
This individual requires: • A minimum of 7 to 10 years’ experience at an investment advisor/ fund, endowment, foundation, or plan sponsor in an asset management or portfolio management role • Excellent organization skills • The ability to work on multiple tasks with multiple people • Self-starter and self-motivated • A strong sense of urgency • Prior commercial real estate financial analysis and financial modeling experience • Previous experience with portfolio management or knowledge of the pension fund account business • Creative and strategic thinking with a strong intellect and a proactive style • Superior analytical and quantitative skills; having a passion for accuracy • Articulate, decisive, and effective communication skills (oral and written); he/she must interact effectively with a wide spectrum of internal and external executives and professionals • The desire and ability to integrate as a member of a cohesive team where individuals derive satisfaction from achieving group performance goals • Impeccable integrity, trustworthiness, and reputation within the financial and investment community • An undergraduate degree with an MBA and/ or CFA preferred
