Colony Capital is seeking an Analyst/Associate, Hotel Asset Management for its Portfolio Management Group to assist in managing its portfolio of over 150 hotel properties.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Hotel Asset Management team in analyzing the performance, capital needs, and strategic initiatives of the hotels to maximize value.
- Assist in creating a benchmarking model to analyze hotel- and portfolio-level financial data to identify areas of opportunity.
- Prepare estimates of value for each hotel.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting.
- Monitor loan covenants, triggers and re-financing requirements.
- Interact and build relationships with management companies and operating partners.
- Keep informed of the supply and demand dynamics of each market area.
- Maintain current knowledge of hotel industry trends and performance of comparable hotel companies.
- Effectively interact with in-house departments including accounting, investments/acquisitions, capital markets, and legal to ensure a team oriented approach.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of hotel asset management, finance, real estate or related, or general real estate experience
- Strong analytical and financial analysis skills
- Valuation and modeling experience
- General knowledge of hotel operations
- Strong communication skills, well organized, self-started, team player
- Microsoft Office Suite Proficient
- Bachelor’s Degree
