Acquisitions Analyst

 

The Acquisitions Analyst reports to the Chief Investment Officer and the Managing Director, Real Estate. The position is responsible for presenting information in a meaningful and insightful format, as GCP makes decisions directly impacting potential acquisitions and its owned assets.

 

This work requires working closely with other departments and affiliates as well as external partners while maintaining complete confidentiality.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

Hands-on execution and supervision of a wide variety of assignments including, but not limited to:

 

  • Assist team members with sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities.
  • Create, assemble and modify complex financial analyses, including cash flow projections, valuation models and sensitivity analyses.
  • Draft investment committee memorandums.
  • Provide active support with respect to due diligence, including review and analysis of financial reports, third-party reports, loan documentation and other acquisition-related information.
  • Provide support to the asset management team members on owned or managed assets.
  • Provide support for special projects such as ROI analysis, acquisitions, dispositions, refinancing / recapitalizations and expansions.
  • Maintain a thorough and up-to-date knowledge of all factors affecting markets and submarkets associated with the portfolio, including political, economic, social, technological, environmental and legal aspects as well as changes in supply and demand

 

Job Requirements:

 

  2-3 years of relevant experience in hotel asset management, real estate, and finance

  Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required

  Experience reconciling and reporting hotel investment accounts

  Very strong systems/computer skills including Microsoft: Excel, PowerPoint, Word

  Knowledge of the real estate industry including private equity funds
