Director, Property Management

Logistics Property Company, LLC (LPC), a rapidly growing industrial real estate developer, manager and investor in North America, is seeking a Director of Property Management to join the Asset Management team based in Chicago. LPC transacts in various states throughout the United States.

The Director of Property Management will lead and advance the property management function of LPC. This newly created position will be part of the Asset Management team and will continue to build this arm of the business and manage third-party property managers across the US.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Working in partnership with the Asset Management team to implement the property management policies and procedures for the entire US portfolio.
• Creating best practices across the US with third-party property managers to maintain high-quality institutional-grade properties.
• Providing support to third-party property managers in resolving day-to-day property management issues.
• Assisting property managers with capital improvement projects in conjunctions with the LPC Construction team.
• Responsible for the RFP process, interviewing, hiring, and training of new third-party party property managers.
• Supervising and evaluating the work of all personnel.
• Managing the property management budget and reforecast processes, which includes operating expense and capital improvement budgets, variance analysis, and ad hoc financial analysis.
• Working with the property managers and development teams on property turnover and transition from development to operations.
• Assisting the accounting team with the CAM reconciliation process.
• Assisting with any other tasks that may be requested by the Senior Vice President of Asset Management.
• Travel to properties is required.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of seven to ten years of property management experience with increased leadership responsibility.
• Industrial/logistics facilities experience is required.  
• Superior analytical, writing, and presentation skills with proficiency in PowerPoint, including the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making
• Time management, organizational skills, and exceptional attention to detail
