SUMMARY: 

LoanCore Capital is seeking to hire 5 Assistant Vice Presidents, Associates, and/or Financial Analysts with 1-4 years of real estate, investment banking, or lending experience.

The Company is looking to fill roles in the following offices: Greenwich, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. The positions entail working closely with senior bankers and the team in all aspects of commercial real estate loan origination, structuring and closing.

College graduates are also welcomed to apply.  The position will entail working closely with senior bankers assisting in all aspects of the commercial real estate loan origination process and assisting in the management of a portfolio of structured commercial real estate loans.

Key Responsibilities

Assist senior bankers in all aspects of the commercial real estate loan origination process
    • Assist with the preparation of written credit presentations
    • Perform property level due diligence and financial loan analytics
    • Cash flow underwriting and modeling (in-place and prospective)
    • Develop presentations for ratings agencies and investors
    • Review legal and third-party reports
    • Analyze and interpret basic property level financial statements and rent rolls
    • Summarize commercial tenant lease information
    • Analyze the feasibility of loans
    • Value the underlying properties securing the loans
    • Build relationships and be comfortable interacting with brokers, appraisers, investors and other market participants
    • Assist with financing and disposition transactions
    • Populate and review various reports including Quarterly Asset Reviews to ensure the Company’s high standards are achieved in terms of quality, accuracy and completeness
    • Recommend and implement new processes and procedures and make enhancements to existing procedures in order to improve efficiency and quality of services
    • Quickly adapt to internal systems and deliverables
    • Flexibility in schedule with respect to meeting time sensitive deadlines
    • Other duties, responsibilities and ad hoc projects as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Ability to create clear and concise work product
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and computer skills with a thorough knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent written, verbal and electronic communication skills with attention to detail
  • Work in a team environment yet think independently and generate quality work product
  • Basic understanding of real estate finance including debt and equity structures
  • Analytical skills to understand complex commercial loan documents
  • High level understanding of property operating statements for all commercial property types (e.g. hotel, office, multifamily, and self-storage)
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment running multiple tasks under tight deadlines

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree; Preferred Field of Study: Real Estate, Finance/Accounting, Business
  • Some experience in real estate lending, acquisitions, operations, asset management or real estate investment banking is preferred but not required
  • Advanced knowledge of:
    • MS Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Word.
    • MS Excel – advanced
    • Argus experience is a plus, but not required
