The Acquisitions & Asset Management Analyst will be responsible for providing analysis and support in all activities related to the Investment Team's ongoing portfolio performance goals. This person will report to the Vice President of Investments and work closely with senior investment & asset management members at the firm.
Location: Dallas, TX
The Acquisitions & Asset Management Analyst will work on a wide range of tasks including acquisitions, asset management, and reporting. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Acquisitions
- Evaluate and analyze potential real estate acquisition opportunities
- Utilize Argus and Excel to create and/or update cash flow projections and underwriting models
- Analyze historical operating information, including rent rolls, expenses, and other diligence items
- Conduct comprehensive market analyses and competitor information
- Draft investment committee memos and create investor presentations
- Assist in all aspects of deal transactions
Asset Management
- Monitor and analyze portfolio performance to support decision making and business strategy
- Compile and analyze weekly leasing and capital improvement reporting metrics
- Complete monthly & quarterly portfolio and asset-level reporting
- Update quarterly valuations
- Special ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics or related field
- 0-3 years’ professional experience in real estate, operational accounting, valuation/advisory, private equity, or capital markets/investment banking
- Office and/or multifamily sector experience is preferred
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and financial modeling are an absolute requirement
- Proficiency with Argus software required
- Superior analytical skills
- Strong writing and critical analysis skills
- Experience using PowerPoint and Word
