Job Title: Financial Analyst – Real Estate Private Equity

Boston Capital Real Estate Partners (BCRE) was established in 2002 and specializes in originating and executing value and opportunity-driven equity investments throughout the United States. Investments are made utilizing discretionary multi-investor fund vehicles, separate accounts and strategic joint ventures on behalf of domestic and global investors, including pensions, foundations, endowments, and family offices. Due to continuing capital and portfolio growth, BCRE is seeking to add a Financial Analyst to its small, tight knit team based in Boston. The role’s primary function is to support the Fund Management and Accounting teams with fund and investor reporting, fund-level modeling and administration, and coordinating with the Asset Management team for property reporting.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work directly with senior partners and directors of BCRE
• Liaise with International based Fund Administrator on all fund accounting and investor reporting, and effectively communicate reports internally and externally to investors
  • Review/produce quarterly fund and investor reporting
  • Annual audits in coordination with Big 4 accounting firm
  • Develop fund budgets and variance analyses workbooks
• Produce and maintain fund-level models with waterfall analyses in complex structures
• Assist with cash management – investor capital calls/distributions, subscription line, loan draws, fund expenses, on line banking, etc.
• Prepare supporting materials and assist with production of annual investor meeting presentations
• Coordinate with the Asset Management team to roll-up property financials to the fund level
• Coordinate with the Acquisition team to ensure potential investments meet the investment parameters of the fund(s) and other investment vehicles
• Support Controller in full cycle corporate financial reporting
• Support the Acquisition and Asset Management teams from time to time in due diligence by analyzing historical financials, performing third-party market research, and coordinating third party specialists
• Various ad-hoc projects as requested

Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree
• Minimum of 2-4 years experience in public accounting, finance, or real estate
  • Progress towards CPA/CFA preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting preferred but not required
  • Experience with private equity funds is a plus
• Excellent analytical and Excel skills, attention to detail, and written and oral communication skills
• Highly organized, disciplined, curious, hard worker with a team attitude and desire to grow and add value to an evolving real estate platform
• A willingness to take on any and all assignments
• Entrepreneurial spirit
