This position is responsible for achieving and maintaining quality and efficiency standards of purchasing processes through strong leadership and effective management, while supporting organizational priorities and contributing to the strength of the company’s financial position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate with key team and management associates regarding specific purchasing needs.
- Obtain quotes and negotiate with strategic suppliers/vendors for optimal terms.
- Ensure timely delivery and review shipments to ensure products received are consistent with orders.
- Compile vendor/supplier selection and maintain key working relationships.
- Work with vendors to maintain and/or improve services. Seek and partner with reliable vendors/suppliers.
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies.
- Assess, manage and mitigate risks; identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Create standards for the entire portfolio as well as polices and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience:
- Associates or Bachelors’ degree preferred, plus three to five years related purchasing experience.
- Previous experience working in property management or hospitality industry preferred.
Computer Skills:
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Construction and Property Management Systems.
