Analyst

TPG Real Estate Finance is seeking an Analyst candidate with 0-2 years of relevant real estate or corporate finance experience for our real estate finance platform TRTX. TRTX is a $4.9B publicly traded real estate debt platform (NYSE: TRTX) that originates and invests in commercial real estate mortgages, mezzanine loans, and securities. TRTX is part of TPG Global, Inc a leading global private equity firm with more than $91B of assets under management.

Positions are available in New York and San Francisco.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will work on a wide range of financing transactions working directly with senior members of the team in a flat organization structure. Work responsibilities include:

• Real estate valuation analysis
• Excel modeling
• Real estate loan origination (whole loan, mezzanine, preferred) and acquisitions including secondary market transactions and commercial mortgage backed securities (CMBS)
• Preparation of presentations and memoranda evaluating investment merits and risks, market dynamics, and projected investment returns
• Credit, legal, market and other diligence
• Transaction execution, including negotiation of loan documentation
• Market research
• Assist with ongoing portfolio management

Qualifications:

TPG seeks candidates who are interested in real estate, highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong academic background with coursework in finance or accounting preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Strong working knowledge of Excel, Argus, Word, and Powerpoint
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with clients
