Description


Duke Realty Corporation, the largest pure-play, domestic only, logistics REIT in the United States, has an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Analyst to join our team in our Indianapolis, IN corporate office.    This position will assist the VP of Corporate Responsibility regarding in the development, implementation, and delivery of the sustainability program. Candidates must be attracted to a fast-paced environment where responsiveness and customer service are highly valued.  A predisposition towards teamwork and personal responsibility will be critical to a candidate’s success. Additional responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Maintain Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data related to energy and water consumption and waste data.
  • Work with property management and other groups to ensure complete and timely data submission.
  • Gather and prepare data, graphics, and support analysis of performance of annual Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) report, which includes ESG related issues.
  • Assist in ESG reporting, to include efforts around stakeholder engagement, diversity and inclusion, climate risk analysis, and resiliency.
  • Work with VP of Corporate Responsibility and Real Estate Operations to develop new strategies and identify ways to drive innovation and create value.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by VP of Corporate Responsibility.

Requirements:

  • 2 plus years of experience in sustainability; real estate operations; real estate asset management; Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG); and/or corporate social responsibility; or related field. Experience in commercial real estate strongly desired.
  • Knowledge/experience of the EPA ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager system especially as related to annual certification and compliance with state and local benchmarking disclosure laws strongly desired
  • Knowledge of LEED for New Construction and Existing Building ratings systems, including credit requirements strongly desired
  • Knowledge of sustainability/ESG reporting standards and benchmarking platforms, preferably, as they apply to commercial real estate (e.g., GRESB).
  • Superior written and verbal communication, presentation, analytical, leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess strong initiative and effective organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail, high level of accuracy and ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to establish and maintain rapports and interact with various levels of professionals.
  • Minimum undergraduate degree in business, finance, environmental science, sustainability related field or equivalent.
