The Sales Manager will be responsible for cultivating a sales team, evaluating their progress, and ensuring sales goals are hit by coaching and training with the objective of increasing the overall production and profitability of the office. This role will also manage the day-to-day prospecting efforts of the office to drive sales activity. The successful candidate will be a proven leader with a track record of building and managing high performance commercial real estate sales teams.

 

Responsibilities Overview:

 

  • Develop a sales training playbook derived and synthesized through an understanding of the market opportunity, interviews with ERE leadership, and existing sales team
  • Mentor both new and seasoned salespeople in revenue generation and sales strategies
  • Set annual and quarterly goals for salespeople individually, while consistently fostering good prospecting habits to ensure accountability
  • Demonstrate availability and an active presence in the office to oversee day-to-day activities and performance of salespeople
  • Coach and interact with salespeople to help them build sales skills and scripts that increase conversion rates
  • Host daily and weekly team meetings with salespeople to review pipeline reports
  • Actively recruit salespeople in accordance with annual hiring goals
  • Demonstrate and promote ERE’s boutique culture by fostering team communication and collaboration
  • Interface with ERE leadership to ensure goals for office and production are being met
  • Remain apprised of industry, market and company changes and disseminate information to salespeople

 

Skills for Success:

 

  • Minimum of 4+ years sales management experience in commercial real estate brokerage; experience in investment sales preferred
  • Direct experience in recruiting, hiring, training, managing and retaining a sales team, from entry-level to senior producers
  • Proven track record of success in leading individual salespeople and teams to increase growth and production; successful candidate is motivated about the objective of helping salespeople reach full potential
  • Leads by example in being the first in and last out of the office
  • Excellent people management skills, collaborative work style, and commitment to getting the job done
  • Effective, inspirational and motivational communication style, excellent verbal skills, and ability to view situations from multiple perspectives 
  • Proficiency in technology (Microsoft Suite, Research Tools, and CRM’s), learning new platforms and programs, and implementing systems and processes
