Responsibilities

As an Associate - Due Diligence and Investor Relations with Hines, you support Hines' global fundraising and efforts of the Capital Markets Group with a focus on due diligence and investor relations activities related to active and prospective investment vehicles. Partners with the Managing Director and Directors to execute on behalf of the global Due Diligence and Investor Relations team to respond to current and prospective investor inquiries and due diligence requests in support of capital raising and investor retention efforts for institutional and retail products. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the Due Diligence and Investor Relations team in operational and daily business matters
  • Respond to due diligence questionnaires, requests of information (“RFIs”), and investor and consultant inquiries
  • Conduct research and prepare materials and reports to support capital raising efforts and fund management teams
  • Effectively communicate specific details about Hines' past, current and prospective investment vehicles
  • Create critical documents and other communications, ensuring appropriate messaging for meetings with prospective and current investors
  • Responsibilities may also include responding to industry surveys, updating consultant profiles and databases, investment management subscription management and data room management


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related discipline from an accredited institution; MBA strongly preferred
  • Five or more years' experience, particularly within institutional real estate, in an investment management, investor relations, research, financial analysis or consulting role
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and relationship building skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Analyze real estate and industry trends from a strategic point of view; analyze and interpret various types of data in order to draw conclusions and solve problems
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Perform numerical and financial calculations and analysis
  • Basic knowledge of the institutional investment vehicles preferred
