Business Development Associate

Bonaventure is looking for an outgoing, independent, result-oriented Business Development Associate to build relationships that create a pipeline of development projects for an entrepreneurial real estate team in an exponential growth period. This role will source opportunities, explore target markets, and establish key relationships and partnerships. The successful candidate is a driven, relentless researcher willing to take initiative and risk who is a persuasive communicator capable of establishing strong connections. This position offers unlimited growth potential, will be based in our Arlington, VA headquarters, and report to the Senior Vice President, Business Development. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Create a pipeline of multifamily and senior living development opportunities.

• Research target markets for future growth and develop key partnerships in support of Bonaventure's business model.

• Cultivate potential high net worth individual investors through articulation of Bonaventure’s value proposition. 

• Establish strong relationships within the commercial real estate brokerage community, especially land and multifamily brokers.

• Source off-market opportunities through cold calls and digital campaigns.

• Represent Bonaventure at in-person meetings with potential partners.

• Run financial models to underwrite potential opportunities.

• Provide feedback and deal summaries to Bonaventure partners on opportunities.

• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree.

• 1-3+ years in the real estate industry preferably with a sales background.

• High technical competence and the ability to pick up on new software quickly. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in CRM database management.

• Ability to independently manage a wide variety of projects at the same time.

• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, with ability to build trust quickly. 

• Competitive work ethic with ability to adapt to change quickly and  succeed in a fast-paced environment.

• Creative thinker enthusiastic about prospecting new business through cold calls, targeted individualized campaigns, and other outreach.
