The attorney will assist in global legal issues for the CBRE Hana business, a part of CBRE's Real Estate Investment business segment.  This role will partner closely with Hana leadership and its investment, operations and sales teams and will report to the Senior Counsel - Real Estate Investments.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing legal matters for Hana, including advising on corporate governance, compliance, labor & employment, litigation, and risk management matters and supervising outside counsel;
• Supporting Hana's investment activities and expansion of its global platform, including overseeing the negotiation of leases, joint ventures and management services agreements;
• Working directly with the senior management and leaders of the dedicated teams to provide advice on the implementation of strategic and tactical business plans and objectives;
• Assisting Hana's sales team in the negotiation of license agreements with enterprise clients;
• Reviewing and assisting with the preparation of investment committee packages; and
• Developing and implementing best practices and process improvements.

Experience & Requirements

• This attorney should have around 4-7 years of real estate transactional experience;
• Broad, general real corporate and commercial transactions experience, preferably including mergers & acquisitions, investment management and private equity experience also preferred;
• Top academic credentials and major law firm training are required;
• The successful candidate will be a practical-minded business attorney who is a team player, enthusiastic, energetic, pro-active, responsive and service-driven;
• The successful candidate needs to be an effective communicator and have the ability to build strong personal relationships with management, have a 'can do' attitude and be able to work to short deadlines when required.
